Battle Overview

Battle Screen
  • Battle starts for a province, sea, or ocean. Duration: 720–1704 hours (30–71 days), or until victory.
  • Sides: Attacker vs. Defender. Troops sent only from neighboring controlled areas.
  • Cannot join if the border is contested. Lost border/elimination — troops retreat.
  • Send/Withdraw: Any time from reserves, if available.
  • Control & Leadership: Owner starts at 100%. Leadership shifts by 0.5% per day toward each side’s proportional strength.
  • When defender drops below 50% control, they take more losses. Attackers < 15% also lose more.
  • Each tick: All sides exchange attacks. Only enemies (not allies) fight each other.
  • Air Superiority: If >50% of a side’s troops are air units — air superiority (+10% to ground attack).
  • Air Power Ratio:
    = aircraft: ×1 losses; 2×: ×1.3; 10×: ×2; No enemy air: ×3.5–4.5; 20×: ×3–4.
  • Base Losses: ~0.09% of each side’s strength per tick (×0.8–1.2 random). Stronger side: +50% losses to weak (2× forces).
  • Loss Modifiers:
    • Less control: +1–35% losses
    • Low influence: Up to +50% losses
    • High stability, low corruption: Up to –10% losses
    • Zero corruption or max stability: –33% defender losses
  • Air combat: Air units fight each other with same formulas, also increase land losses.
  • End: Timer runs out or only one side remains. Attackers with >50% influence and >50% participation can take the region.
  • Lost units tracked; survivors return to reserves.
Tips for Victory:
  • Have adjacent land with no rebellions before declaring war.
  • Air dominance increases your damage and ground effectiveness.
  • Higher leadership = fewer losses for your side.
  • Defenders: Maximize stability, minimize corruption for survival.
  • Fast loss of control or heavy losses = quicker conflict resolution.
  • Lower enemy control below 15%, or bring theirs to 85%+ to win early.

Alliances

Alliance window
  • To form an alliance, send a request via the diplomacy menu and specify a name.
  • Both countries must accept for the alliance to be created. The initiator becomes the leader.
  • Alliance leaders can invite new members at any time. Invited countries can accept or decline.
  • Any country may request to join an existing alliance. The leader approves or rejects requests.
  • All pending requests and invitations can be canceled until accepted.
  • Members can deposit or withdraw funds from the alliance treasury.
  • Diplomatic relations with other countries are synchronized for all alliance members.
  • When a member country is eliminated, it's removed from the alliance. If the leader leaves, a new leader is chosen automatically.
  • Allied countries can fight together and support each other in wars. Borders of your allies count for launching or joining battles.
  • Use the alliance menu to manage members, funds, and invitations.
Quick Tips:
  • Check the alliance treasury before funding big operations.
  • Diplomatic changes affect all alliance members at once.
  • Support your allies in wars — their borders help your strategy!
